Business Development Manager (London)

Worrell is currently seeking a high-energy sales professional to join our new, fast-paced London office. As a Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for representing the company and building new relationships with key pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotechnology R&D leaders across Europe and supporting the growth of our new office.

This is an entrepreneurial role that requires an ambitious, self-motivated, and business-minded individual with a strong passion for healthcare innovation. You’ll be responsible for generating interest for Worrell’s Research & Strategy, UX, Digital Solutions, and Human Factors services in a new market bursting with significant opportunities against impressive competition.

The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of relevant sales experience and a demonstrated understanding of product and service design and development processes. Previous consultative selling experience in a related technical sales role is preferred.


• Interacting with Worrell’s diverse teams of researchers, strategists, and designers and quickly learning our best practices and fundamental services.
• Generating and qualifying new leads through personalized sales outreach, setting up introductory meetings, and rapport-building.
• Closing new business deals by thoroughly investigating client needs, coordinating requirements, and developing and negotiating project proposals.
• Driving repeatable business from key accounts through effective client relationship management and consultative selling.
• Planning and preparing client-specific and industry-facing presentations.
• Representing Worrell to customers, professional associations, and at relevant speaking engagements.
• Developing compelling digital content for the company website in the form of thought leadership articles and case studies from successful past clients.

• Ability and desire to rapidly learn new clinical and technical areas.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Technically Savvy with basic office programs like MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint/Keynote.


• Previous consultative selling experience.
• Agency or industry experience in product design and development or related technical field.
• Experience in healthcare or other highly-technical fields.
• Public speaking skills.
