Design Researcher
The Design Researcher will be work with the ethnographic research team and the product design teams to articulate user needs visually, and help create planning tools that enable the design team to implement strategic design imperatives and solve unmet user needs. You will work under the tutelage of experienced researchers and with a multi-disciplinary design team and engage on projects at the earliest stages and follow through to helping create design solutions. You will learn to design research strategies, assist conducting the research, help analyzing and interpreting the data. You must have an interest in, and aptitude for solving business and user problems and be very capable with project detail. Excellent writing, interpersonal and presentation skills are essential. The candidate for this position will be entry level or one to two years product design, graphic design or design research experience. (Industrial Design, Graphic Design or related degree) The ideal candidate will have an exposure to design research methods.
Additional responsibilities would include creating high impact graphics and visuals to communicate ideas. The candidate must be personable and approachable, and have the ability to work with a variety of colleagues, clients, agencies, and client representatives.
